The Result of the Play...

...is a TOUCHDOWN!!! For Jordan Kent on a decent pass from Hasselbeck, with Mare kicking the field goal. Kent made a very pretty catch on a mediocre pass from Hass, a little behind him it looked to me. A huge play for Kent that will get noticed.

In all, the drive was good, making the first string defense of the Vikes look like a third string defense... only one or two plays that we got thwarted on.

Momo started, and Weaver and Carlson (I think) made good blocks. Hass is on the ground, stretching and in pain, hopefully thats nothing to worry about... . Coutu just kicked a mediocre kickoff...

UPDATE --- Tatupu forced a fumble on a gang tackle, Grant came in and dove on the fumble, very alert play. Mo broke a 21 yard run that was mostly him with some nice blocking at the start. We were all worried about the offense but... wow, so far, pretty damn good.

UPDATE 2 --- Mare kicked a 21 yard field goal, 10-0 hawks! Our red zone offense faltered a bit, with one play seeming to fall apart, saved by a little 2 yard screen to Mo mo, then a draw to nowhere, and a decent play to Weaver but falling short. Seems like Holmgren is really looking at the running situation early in this one.
