Mike Sando has posted an analysis from AdamJT13 which projects the compensatory picks to be awarded for the NFC West teams.
Seattle is projected to acquire four picks in the 7th round. The 49ers project to get one in the 5th round and one in the 6th round, while the Cardinals project to get one in the 7th.
No one knows the secret formula that the leagues uses to determine these picks but AdamTJ13 has apparently figured out the formula close enough to accurately project how they will be awarded.
The NFL will award those picks during its annual meetings scheduled for March 22-25 this year.
While I'm glad we should get four picks, I'm a bit disappointed that they will all be at the very bottom of the draft and therefore be little better than undrafted free agents. I would rather have the two picks the 49ers have in the 5th and 6th rounds. I guess that's four players we don't have to compete with other clubs to sign as undrafted free agents.
Hasta,
