Nate Davis hated on

by: Chris Sullivan

QB Nate Davis was the star attraction at the Ball State Pro-Day on Friday and every team that attended presumably paid the most attention to Davis. The only problem?

Only one team attended.

The Indianapolis Colts were the only team that showed up (they're also the closest team to Ball State). Mike Florio notes that there is actually a decent chance that Nate Davis won't be drafted at all as his stock has fallen precipitously since posting pretty poor 40 times at the combine.

I admittedly haven't seen much of Davis (who the hell watches Ball State games?), but he seems like an average-to-good quarterback with an average-to-good arm and average-to-good intelligence. That's the kind of guy who can go in the seventh or undrafted and claw his way to the top of the league. It's also the kind of guy who can go in the seventh or undrafted and be out of the league within three years, but hey, I'm trying to be optimistic here.

Any insights on Davis?
