Ex-Broncos long snapper Mike Leach is touring the NFC West this week, and Mike Sando reports he is currently on his way to Arizona for a visit with the Cardinals. He will also visit the Seahawks, but a date has not yet been confirmed. (I'm assuming tomorrow.)
With Jeff Robinson retiring and Tyler Schmitt's future looking bleak at best, this would be a huge gain for the Seahawks. The trouble is, the Cardinals need a similar player, as they recently released their own snapper Nathan Hodel.
I can't see Jeff Robinson being coaxed out of retirement again when he's pushing 40. Plus, the comments from Broncos fans on Sando's post concerning Leach are nothing but positive.
Let's hope the free agent success continues today with Leach and possibly Jermaine Phillips. -END-
