With Justin Forsett claimed by the Colts, the Seahawks probably felt they needed an extra set of legs for practice. Couple that with the LARGE number of defensive linemen on the 53 man, and you have a perfect storm.
In other words, the Hawks released defensive lineman Kevin Brown from the practice squad and replaced him with Yvenson Bernard, former Oregon St. star. In fact, Bernard actually might be a decent find. He was quite the player for OSU in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
Bernard is almost the same size as Forsett, 5-9, 200, and went undrafted because of his 4.7 forty time. He was also coming off a shoulder injury. He was known as a workhorse back at OSU, and also returned kicks.
And if you haven't picked up on it, the title was supposed to be sarcastic :-)~END~
