In other news...

by: Chris Sullivan

Former Seahawk special teams captain Niko Koutouvides has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Niko was always a favorite of mine and, while I don't see him doing a ton as a starter in any system, he provides excellent depth and a fantastic leadership presence on special teams.

The Seahawks are meeting with former Lions tight end John Owens. He would provide depth as the second or third tight end, likely dependant on whether the Hawks sign Heller again.

Draft news: Ball State QB Nate Davis has elected not to participate in the Ball State Pro Day (Ball State has a pro day?!). Davis had a poor showing at the Combine so this is somewhat surprising, but maybe he's happy being a fourth or fifth rounder and doesn't want to hurt his stock more? Who knows.

I'm working on a post on Housh-line-is-it-anyway for this evening, and tomorrow morning I'll be posting the Steve Vallos interview, which I personally found quite interesting. Obviously, if anything else breaks, we'll keep you in the loop.
