No Love For Seahawks DT's

by: Michael Steffes

Another Sunday, and another set of Sporting News rankings to help us through till players hit the field tomorrow. This week's magazine ranks the NFC's defensive tackles. TSN doesn't think to highly of our current group.

10) Seahawks....The past two drafts has pumped new life into the rotation. Brandon Mebane in 2007 and Red Bryant in 08'. The biggest question remains Marcus Tubbs, a 2004 first-round pick who has had two major knee surgeries.

Fair enough, but I think that both Rocky Bernard and Craig Terrill are being overlooked. Bernard is one of the more disruptive tackles when healthy, and Terrill is a very underrated player. I wouldn't expect anyone to say the Hawks are at the top of this list, but it seems is some of these teams were ranked on team reputation and not the actual tackle play. To see the rankings....

1) Vikings
2) Eagles
3) Cowboys
4) Redskins
5) Giants
6) Bears
7) Bucaneers
8) Packers
9) Cardinals
10) Seahawks
11) Saints
12) Rams
13) Lions
14) 49ers
15) Panthers
16) Falcons
